Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted is now live across all platforms, bringing in new Seasonal weapons and armour for you to acquire. As always, the new Destiny 2 season also introduces new resources that you will need to unlock various seasonal items. One rare Season of the Haunted resource is Opulent Umbral Energy
You will need a ton of Destiny 2 Opulent Umbral Energy to focus Opulent Weapons, Haunted Weapons, and Haunted Armours in the H.E.L.M. Focusing these Seasonal items will grant you random high-tier versions of these weapons and armors. Ways to farm Opulent Umbral Energy in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted
At the time of this writing, there are currently three ways to farm Opulent Umbral Energy. The easiest way to get them is by completing the Nightmare Containment public event in the Derelict Leviathan.
After defeating the final boss at Containment Tier 3, deposit 500 Vestiges of Dread on the Harvester to get 5 or 7Opulent Umbral Energy.
The second way to get Opulent Umbral Energy is by completing the new Season 17 weekly quest called Sever. After defeating the final boss, consume a Bound Presence to get 5 Opulent Umbral Energy.
The third and final way to get Opulent Umbral Energy is by levelling up the Season of the Haunted battle pass. Unfortunately, only the premium battle pass gives Opulentn Umbral Energy. Below you will find the number of Opulent Umbral Energy you will get at various season ranks.

You can earn a total of 21 Opulent Umbral Energy through Season 17 premium battle pass though as you can guess, these aren't enough to focus all the seasonal weapons and armour.
